Captain Owen Goetemann of Peace of Mind Charters is focused solely on creating the ideal charter experience for each and every customer. With roots in both commercial fishing, as well as customer service, Owen strives to create both a successful fishing experience, and a fun but professional environment aboard the F/V Peace of Mind.

As the son of a Gloucester fisherman, Owen has spent the majority of his summers dedicated to tracking down the North Shore's premier sport fish, striped bass. At the young age of 15, Captain Owen took his first informal charter on a boat that had recently been passed down to him, a 15' 1962 McKee Craft. Since that fateful day, he has accrued his 6-pack OUPV Captain's license and runs trips off of a 23'9" Key West Center Console.

About Me

MY NAME IS Owen Goetemann

I began striper fishing as early as I can remember, and it has been a passion of mine since day 1. My father was a full time commercial fisherman in the oldest fishing port in the country, Gloucester, MA. Though my brash father never dabbled in offering charters, he passed on to me fishing knowledge that has been invaluable in creating a successful charter business. I took out my first charter at the young age of 15, and for the past 4 years have taken my passion and turned it into my profession on the F/V Peace of Mind!
